Our Service Ministry to our Community
We try to live out the Gospel of Jesus in the way we show His love to our neighbors.
Most of this happens on an individual basis as members serve others in daily life.
We as a congregation also organize to be of good volunteer service. Please join in as you are able.

- Interfaith Hospitality Network
- Channel One,
a local food bank which helps to meet the needs of those in our community, opened its doors in February, 1980.
- Meal Ministry team. Your church family tries to be supportive, especially in times of need.
We have scores of volunteers who bring a meal or a dessert to folks home from the hospital,
after a baby, etc. To help out, or to suggest someone to receive a meal, call our coordinator,
Ginny Burgart.
- Thank you (46 families!) for your response to Cookies for Hope.
In June, we brought cookies and other
home-baked goodies to Hope Lodge, a home away from home for cancer patients.

is a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities. Visit their website and select

- The Post Bulletin highlights volunteer positions in the Lifestyle section under the heading,
You Are Needed.
- Helping Hands is a gathering of retired folks who do small projects in service to God's Church.
- Visit shut-ins.
- Donate blood.
- Serve on one of the funeral luncheon teams. May you be needed only rarely! Talk to our leaders
