NEXT MEETING DECEMBER 11, 2006

  1. SHARING TREE:  Paul will put the tree up by Thanksgiving along with the help of Emily Howe and company who have graciously offered to help in this effort.  Thanks kids.
  2. CANDLEROSE PROJECT:  This will be something we will do in either Jan. or Feb. hopefully with the help of the youth.  It is a low income housing building being renovated for apartments on 4th st. SW, just of Broadway.  There will be 19 units and each church that has been asked to help will furnish one unit.  Items are very specific as to how much and furniture will be monetary donations.  So we will have our tree up again to help support this effort.
  3. IHN:  Our next host week will be Dec. 3-10th.
  4. MINISTRY FAIR:  We will have a table there with food?  Keep everyone guessing on what food item we will have.

General Agenda Items (discussion points, action items, follow-up items, etc.)

Recap of Past Events – What went well; what can we improve on

Pizza / Game Night:  Poor turnout, lock-in was the night before.  Could have had something to do with it. Those that did come had a good time.   Zadeo’s gave us a good price on the pizza and delivered it.  Next time advertise more.  Make an announcement on Sunday morning the week prior.  Try another one in February.

Upcoming Events-  What do we need to plan??

  • Coffee House Concerts:  Friday, December 1 at 7:00.  “Three on the Tree” is the band.  Sound system is needed and someone to run it.  Paul will call Steve Books.  We need to decorate room, get people to bring bars and serve hot drinks.  More people needed.

Update as of 11/15 – Steve Books has agreed to lend us his sound system and will also plan to run it.  If he is not available he will teach someone else to run it.  D & R Coffee will give us a cappuccino machine as long as we buy the product from them.  This will make a great addition.  Postcards arrived yesterday.  Each bulletin will contain one on Sunday morning.  T-shirts have been ordered and will arrive November 30th.

  • Thanksgiving Pie Fellowship:  Janis will print and post sign-up sheet.  Dave will announce before each service.

  • Ministry Fair:  Sunday November 19th between services.  We need to make a poster and provide some sort of food.  Probably want to bring a table also.
