Sheila Bennett discussed the need for more volunteers for the National Night Out on August 07. There is one more meeting on Monday evening at 6:30 so final preparations will be made.

Pastor Dave reported that Mark Hannan has resigned as Youth Director effective in September and will be attending the Seminary at Luther. The personnel committee will start looking for a replacement immediately. The search for a second pastor has also begun as well as a replacement for Diane Carr. Pastor Dave said he had a wonderful vacation and is refreshed and ready to carry on the mission of GSC. The Vision Team has taken the first seven months to study and is looking at the results of the Congregational Conversations. Scott Kruse designed an excellent poster .

Thanks you cards were written for Donna Caflisch for heading up the GSC Dorothy Day House mission and to Joe Derouin for doing the Neuvirth benefit.

Church Work

Copy machine- The copy machine is now ten years old and not working very well. Jen handed out a sheet with the figures showing a comparison between leasing and purchasing a new machine. After discussion a motion was made by Scott Kruse/Sheila Bennett to allow the property and technology committee to lease a new machine after ensuring the present lease can be rolled into a new one and can be upgraded if for some reason this machine doesn?t fit the bill for GSC. The motion carried.

An announcement of the new newsletter and change in church service times will be given out this Sunday Jen noted that she would like feedback on the changes be passed on to her.

A motion to adjourn was made by Scott Kruse and seconded by Sheila Bennett.
