  3. Justin Webber talked briefly about a mission trip he is planning on participating in to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico and read a letter that he was presenting to friends, relatives and the council to outline his trip and to ask for help in funding the trip. A MMS (Sheila Bennett/Tim Olson) to donate $500 that the Sunday school classes had raised and given the council permission to designate a use for. Motion was carried.
  4. Michele Saack gave the financial report. There was an $8736 balance for the month of April. There is a $100,000 note coming up for renewal and it was voted by the finance committee to ladder it into CD’s so funds could be more easily available since the rate is comparable. MMS to approve the financial report. Motion carried.

  6. Frank Fawcett reported that Safe Haven project will need input from the council. Zumbro Lutheran has been very helpful with this project and Lonni is working very hard on it. Tracy Tollefson is handling the nursery and doing a good job. Frank feels that the council should challenge themselves to do much more to help support the various GSC events through obtaining input, encouragement, feedback and advising groups and individuals that are doing the events and functions. Frank also brought up the need to put the change in the newsletter at the next council meeting. Mike reports that he is using 25% of his time preparing it
  7. Steve Howe advised that they are now working on outside projects and that the air condition has to be moved a short distance because they are moving rock. This should not cause much inconvenience, though. The closet cleaning has been put on hold for now as there are not many items that have been marked and they are switching to outside projects now that the weather permits.
