January, 2007 - The new Evangelical Lutheran Worship books were dedicated.
August 6, 2006 - Pastor Dave Berg was installed as lead pastor.
November, 2005 - Pipe organ dedication.
September, 2005 - Pastor Thomas S. Hanson served as interim pastor through June, 2006.
September, 2005 - Mike Thilges joined us as office administrator.
August, 2004 - Fenris completed phase one of organ installation.
2002 - Expansion of sanctuary, fellowship hall, narthex, staff offices
and education rooms complete. Organ was sold to Madonna Towers.
2001 - Mark Hannan installed as Youth Director (2001-2007).
2000 - Building Committee formed.
1997 - Rebecca Lenzen was hired as full-time Youth Director (1997-2001).
Pastor Jack Friedli joined GSC as Pastoral Assistant.
Laurie Reese hired as secretary (1997-2005).
1996 - Pastor Chris Brekke installed as Senior Pastor (1996-2005).
1994 - Education wing added.
1992 - Pastor Chris Brekke installed as Youth Pastor (1992-1996).
Christmas Eve 1987 - First service in new sanctuary.
1986 - Cynthia McLaren installed as Director of Education and Music.
1985 - Building Committee formed for new sanctuary.
1983 - Organ received in many pieces and newly restored and first used in 1985.
1980 - Pastor Tom Renquist was installed as the fourth pastor.
1972 - Pastor Donald Nelson was installed as the third pastor.
The parsonage was sold and the pastor was given a housing allowance.
1971 - Good Shepherd symbol designed by Terry McAllister, a young member of the church.
1968 - Pastor William Strom installed as the second pastor.
1964 - First service in the newly constructed building.
180 confirmed members and 152 children.
1960 - Parsonage at 1815 4th Avenue SW was purchased for $16,500.
Church was legally incorporated.
Organization Day.
The congregation consisted of 83 confirmed members and 68 children.
Pastor Flaa accepted a call to be the first pastor.

1959 - Pastor Richard Flaa arrived as a mission developer for the ULCA.
November 1958 - First worship service at Olmsted County Fairgrounds 4-H building.
About 50 attended and half were non-Lutheran.
First few sessions were spent teaching Lutheran liturgy and practices.
Rent was $20/week, not including janitorial fees.
Members arrived early to clean up party refuse from the night before.
Sunday School had 19 children.
1958 - Organizational meeting held. Steering Committee formed.
