GSLC is one of 13 host
churches that provide temporary shelter in our church and meals to homeless
families. Two buddy churches partner with us to provide about 50 volunteers for
each host week. Volunteer positions are: cooks, hosts, overnight hosts,
drivers, and weekend setup and cleanup. Training sessions are scheduled each
month. Two cooks, two hosts, and two overnight hosts are scheduled for each
evening. A signup sheet for the week of July 22-29 is in the narthex. If you
have questions, talk to Joann Holt-Angerman or Paul Willemssen. More info at

Thanks to the generosity of GSC members, we were able
to purchase a four octave set of handbells.
The bells were purchased from a church in
So now that we have four
octaves of handbells (we only have three octaves of chimes), GSC needs more
people for playing the bells. If you are
interested in playing or even just learning about handbells, please contact
Michelle Schlicht (258-1258). Ability to
read music is not necessary.
