30 Hour Famine
A Lock-In with
purpose!!! We spend a whole day together
in typical lock-in fashion except… not eating!
We experience hunger first hand, learn about hunger in the world, and
the money we raise goes to help people who deal with the reality of hunger on a
daily basis. We finish our time together
with a break-feast, a celebration meal of grand proportions. Here’s how it works…
1) Sign-up with Mark to do the Famine. Return the form before Wed, April 18th.
2) Tell people (family, friends, neighbors,
etc) about what you’re doing and ask them to pledge money to fight hunger.
3) Collect the money people have pledged
and put it in your envelope.
4) Bring your envelope to the lock-in
(April 20-21) and watch that money go to work for the hungry.
5) Earn prizes for the money you raise.
6) Earn 5 service hours for doing the
Famine.
