Christians pray as they seek to be in touch and in
communication with God. It isn’t about having the right words or language;
rather, it is about being in conversation with God. How have your
conversations been going? Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to

Scrip = Easy Fundraising
Want to be
either the brains or the brawn of our new Scrip fundraising? Scrip is a term that means “substitute
money”. In recent years many non-profits
have stopped selling candy, magazines, and frozen pizza and have begun selling
scrip. So, if you were going to purchase
$100 worth of groceries from HyVee in any given week instead of paying $100 to
the cashier you would buy a $100 scrip card (like a debit card) at church. You still pay the same amount but the church
would make a fair percentage (varies with each store). Talk with Mark if you’d like to help get this
program off the ground. The youth will
do the grunt work of selling scrip but we’ll need adult help in educating the
congregation, ordering scrip, and keeping track of inventory.
