The sign-up process for the new GSLC pictorial directory is quickly coming to an end.  Phone calls will be made to any member households who have not yet signed for a sitting time.

As of October 22, 35 percent of GSLC member families have signed up, and we would like that number to increase greatly.

To register online, follow these directions:

1. Go to the website, www.goodshepherdchurch.net

            2. Click on the church directory icon

Youth Habitat House Dedicated
Next Sunday

Friends and family of anyone who helped out with the fundraising or building of the Habitat Youth House are invited to the dedication service on Sunday, October 29th @ 2pm.

Spring Break Mission Trip

We are very excited to announce the first ever youth Spring Break Mission Trip.  We’ll be heading to an area on the Gulf Coast that was devastated over a year ago in Hurricane Katrina and has been forgotten in much of the clean-up efforts.  Youth Encounter has partnered with a church in Ocean Springs, MS to provide lodging, food, and meaningful work to crews that come down for a week of service.  Might you be called to spend your spring break in a different way this year?  March 30 – April 5.  Adults wanted too.  Our first meeting will take place on Sunday, October 29th at 12pm.  More info at: www.gscyouth.com/springbreaktrip

Fundraising Roll Call

Wanna fundraise for a ski trip, retreat, or mission trip?  There are a couple of fundraising opportunities that are happening in the next couple of weeks.

1) Make and sell rolls in between Sunday services.  Get involved by signing up for a weekend (limit 2) on the youth bulletin board.

2)  Help with our Sunday Pizza & Game Fundraiser (Vikings vs. Packers) on November 12.

3)  Talk with Mark or Mike to get signed up on our GSC babysitting list which we will make available to members in search of a trustworthy babysitter.

Volunteers Wanted

On several dates in November, GSLC will host sittings for the new pictorial directory, and we are seeking volunteers to make these times run smoothly.  If you are interested in any of the following activities, contact Ellen Herder (289-5723) or Mike Thilges in the church office (289-1748).

● Check-In       ● Providing bars or cookies

Here is the opportunity we have put together. Good Earth Village is organizing a group to go from November 11-19. We will be going to Slidell, La. where we will be hosted by Peace Lutheran Church. Cost is $250/person and covers all expenses.  Contact Ruth Friedli at 288-1471 to sign up.
