We are looking for a person to be our next Nursery
Coordinator. This involves maintaining
supplies, cleaning the toys, and maintaining the bulletin board and sign-in
book. This person would help recruit nursery helpers, fill openings in the
worship schedule and be in the nursery for the
The new Lutheran hymnal is coming soon! Each book costs $20 and may be given in
honor/memory of someone. GSLC’s goal is
to purchase 300 new books. Watch for an

compose? There are lots of opportunities
for youth interested in music here at Good Shepherd. GSC has two kids’ choirs, a youth choir and a
youth band and lots of opportunities for providing special music during a
worship service or church event. For

9th Grade. Meets at
10th Grade. Look for a letter midweek.
We Need Caring Adults
The church doesn’t just “have
opportunities” for adults in youth ministry... the church needs adults in youth
ministry and, more importantly, our youth need adults. They
need Christian adults in their life as a sign that they have an identity and a
destiny in life and belong to something stronger than their peer group. Right now, Good Shepherd need caring adults
to 1) be a small group leader for 7th & 8th grade
Confirmation on Wednesdays
2) be a co-leader of our Wednesday elementary-aged
program called Starlights
3) be a co-leader for our high school group on Sunday
mornings

items. All items left after September 15
will be donated to the Salvation Army.
There will be no Stay and
Play group scheduled for Thursday, August 31st.
Stay and Play will return on Thursday, September 7th.
Memory Walk: The Alzheimer’s Association’s Rochester Memory Walk will
be held on August 26 at the Elks Lodge.

With Rally Day on September 10, we
are launching our Fall Ministry Schedule.
In addition to worship, there will be Sunday school classes as well as a
celebration picnic, hog roast and fellowship time in the afternoon.
