Community Food Response is an excellent program; collecting food from restaurants and cafeterias and then handing it out to folks in need, on Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Thank You for volunteering to serve the hungry people of Rochester. GSC serves the second Monday of every month. The following is info you need to know.

Who is served? The elderly, mentally handicapped, lost-their-way youth, immigrants ... All are low income.

Where? Bethel Lutheran (basement), 810 3rd Ave SE. Park on 8th Street SE and enter the alley door.

What do we do? Assist as food distributors. Someone will be there to orient you.

Are we the only workers on our day? YES!! If you cannot attend on your assigned day, you need to arrange to swap with another volunteer or find a sub. Please make sure we can fulfill our commitment to help the hungry!

FYI:

• Please do not bring children younger than 4 years old.
• You will receive a reminder postcard the week before your service date.
