For several years, our loose coins were shared in a “Change for Change” program, with
donations going to these organizations:
- January 2004, 2005, 2006 - Community Food Response -
collecting food from restaurants and handing it out to folks in need.
- February 2004, 2005, 2006 - Family Services, 1110 6 Street NW - Counseling in the areas of mental health and
chemical dependency (287-2040); Home Services to enable continued independent living (287-2010);
Credit Counseling (281-6299).
- March 2004, 2005, 2006 - Channel One -
Supplemental Food Shelf provides a 5-day food supply on a monthly basis to income-eligible
Olmsted County residents; Food Bank distributes donated food to non-profit charities;
Green Garden Project provide garden plots; Mothers and Children Program
provides a nutritionally balanced food package on a monthly basis.

Children and adults with intellectual disabilities share their joy and courage
in year-round sports training and competition.

- September 2004, 2005 - Circle Center - Zumbro Valley Mental Health Center Community Support Program
provides support and services for adults with severe mental illness. Circle Center, at 47 13 1/2 Street NW,
is the drop-in center
providing leisure-time activities, and an opportunity to explore vocational and educational interests.
- October 2004, 2005 - Women's Shelter -
"provide safe, temporary shelter to female domestic violence victims and their children."
- November 2004, 2005 - Habitat for Humanity - "build affordable housing
for people who are economically challenged."
- December 2004, 2005 - Crisis Nursery -
Crisis Child Care for ages 0-12 available to any Olmsted County family.
